FAQ

We want your experience at HBS to be as comfortable and productive as possible. Here are some commonly asked questions to help your first visit run smoothly. If you still have questions or want to speak with a physical therapist directly, please contact us!

  • Do you accept insurance?
We are are in network with Medicare. We are out of network with all other insurances so we can provide you with the care you want and need rather than what insurance dictates we can provde. We can provide you with the paperwork needed to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You are able to use your HSA or FSA accounts to pay for your services.
  • Do I need a prescription from my physician?
In the state of North Carolina you do not need a referral for physical therapy. However some insurances including Medicare do require it.
  • How much does a visit cost?
Your initial visit will be one hour long including thorough evaluation and treatment with an inital home exercise prescription and costs $145. During that time you will create a plan of care with your physical therapist deciding on appropriate frequency of subsequent visits which are also 60 minutes and cost $105.
  • How often will I have physical therapy appointments?
Your plan of care will be established during the first visit and will be dependent upon the type of injury or pain as well as how long the issue has been going on. Typically once a week is sufficient as long as you are an active participant in your healing and can be compliant with home exercises.
